TYPES OF STAINLESS STEEL FLANGES

Weld Neck Flanges

A Weld neck flange is further known as a high hub flange. Weld neck flanges have a neck-like shape that helps to alleviate pressure on the flange's bottoms. These flanges can effectively transfer pipe tension to the flange bottom. Weld neck flanges work well with high-pressure and high-temperature pipelines.

Slip-On Flange

Slip-on flanges are joined with the help of two welds, one outside and one inside the flanges. It is also known as hubbed flanges. These flanges are best for low pressure and low temperature. Slip-On Flanges are commonly use for the low pressure pipe fittings. There strong mechanical envoirment make them more suitable for service.

Threaded Flange

Slip-on and threaded flanges are similar, but the threaded flange has been bored to meet a particular pipe's inner diameter. These flanges are much cheaper and easy to apply than any other flanges. Threaded flanges are safe to use in a highly explosive area where we can’t weld.

Socket Weld Flanges

Socket weld flanges are considered to be better than slip-on flanges. It has only one weld, but a gap of 1.6mm must be maintained between the flanges and pipe before welding. This gap helps to reduce the pressure on the bottom weld. These flanges are made to use with high-pressured small pipings to manage the flow of gas & liquid.

Long Weld Neck Flanges

Long neck weld flanges have a long neck as compared to other regular neck weld flanges. It functions similarly to neck weld flanges. This flange is most suitable for high-pressure and high-temperature piping like in the gas and oil industries. The long weld neck flanges design for piece of pipe for a bolt up connection to the vessel.

Blind Flanges

These flanges are made without bores. It is used to close the end of the piping, valves, and pressure vessel opening. It is designed to bear high pressure which is why these flanges are more significant as compared to other pipe fittings flanges. Lap Joint Flange

Lap joint flanges are similar to slip-on flanges, except they are not welded to the piping. A lap joint sub-end is employed for pipes & subsequently secured by a lap joint flange.
