Orange Tungsten Electrode (Ewce-2)
Additionally, these tungsten electrodes have up to 2.20 percent cerium added, and at least 97.3 percent tungsten. Although they are employed to weld smaller and more delicate parts, they resemble those tungsten electrodes containing thorium—that is, those with a red color code—in theory. These electrodes execute nicely in DC welding at lower current settings while can be utilized proficiently in AC systems. With its excellent arc beginning at lower amperages, formed tungsten has evolved famous in such applications as orbital tube and pipe fabricating.
