308L-16/E308L-16 Stainless Steel Electrode

E308/308L-16 is an extremely low-carbon electrode for the welding of type 304L, 321, and 347 stainless steels. At cryogenic temperatures, the weld deposit’s regulated ferrite provides exceptional notch toughness. By depositing a maximum of 4% carbon into the weld metal, this electrode reduces the possibility of chromium carbides forming and the resulting vulnerability to intergranular corrosion.
