400 Stainless Steel Electrode

This grade of stainless steel rod is divided into two grades i.e. ferritic grades and martensitic grades. Each grade has its own properties like, calls for different preheat and interpass welding temperatures. The martensitic grades contain the amount of chromium from 11-14% and are air hardenable unless modified with an addition of titanium, aluminum, columbium, or carbon levels below 0.1%.
