434 Stainless Steel Electrode
This is one of the most commonly used of the “non-hardenable” ferritic stainless steels. The addition of molybdenum increases this alloy’s resistance to corrosion and its strike to many deicing chemicals. It is the combination of good heat and oxidation resistance up to 1500 °F (816 °C) as well as good mechanical properties.
